             My Pen of Hope

It is said "Hope sustains life" and during times of distress, crisis or any problem in our lives, it is our

assertiveness,
strong determination to fight problem/s and many other such qualities
and value system help us hold flag of victory against any hurdle or trouble in our day to day life.
We have been grown up listening many such moral based stories from our grandparents, parents and teachers in which strong will power, self trust and being positive etc. are filled in our cognitive corner of taking risks, to be optimistic and also to be courageous and positive. Are these teachings, learnings and values helping us fight present day crisis of novel Corona Virus?
There is fear in each mind; fear of losing life and this time not only us but whole world is fighting with unseen enemy: Covid -19.Such an unbiased enemy; it knows no religion, it knows no culture, it knows no boundaries,it knows no profession, it knows no tradition, it knows no limits and even no age.It only knows to venture its accessibilty and powers in human body.Yes, the mortal body which it can kill.
And till we find solution to kill this powerful virus , we the people all around the globe are armouring ourselves inside the protected four walls of our homes.Home sweet home has become source of fatigue, anxiety
depression, sadness and boredom to many. All of us feel to be imprisoned in sophisticated prison with all the facilities and luxuries. The chain of our troubles is building link by link as we all are looking and hoping in void.
My pen says something.Lord Ram had to fight an immortal enemy i.e Ravana till he got the mantra of hitting the arrow in Ravana's naval.
My hopeful pen is anticipating the solution soon to be invented to kill corona in existence forever. There shall be times when effigy of this virus will be burnt every year. There shall be times when its power spread will be criticised by all animates.Even the silent nature shall speak happiness loudly on its demise .There shall be times when the world shall recite " There was an enemy who befriended the global society in one thread of Love for beings, animals, creatures and nature. The enemy that removed geographical disparities and taught every one of us just one religion.....Humanity."
And my pen says if there shall exist uniformity in values to live, will there be any discrimination, wars and battles?
With this hope I am peacefully nurturing my self in my sophisticated "Banwas Time ",as I feel all of us are present time "Ramas" targetting Corona's naval to make it vanish forever.
Are not we all doing something supportive and constructive by remaining at home and following guidelines by authorities? Is there something like boredom, no hope ,distress, anxiety and anguish prevailing?
The answer by my pen is , "No". We are warriors and we shall be victorious.Perseverance is the arrow to kill this Ravana; i.e Covid -19.
Is my pen right?

  1. Wonderful piece! You are absolutely right! The fight, Lord Rama fought was between the world (includes him and even some of the good souls of Lanka like Vibhishana and even Indrajit) and Ravana! The sheer power / energy / effect / impact Ravana had is exactly reminiscent of the present situation and a united WORLD is the only answer to get this out of our way! Keep it up :-)
